St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them.

Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess.
They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals.

But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

My Rating:

My Thoughts:

I LOVED this book! I loved the main character, Rose. I love how she's so kickass and just goes and gets what she wants. It' so much fun to read about a character like that. I like that she isn't selfish though. She's rash and sometimes lets her anger get the better of her, but she also puts other people before herself. I really liked Dimitri as well (how couldn't you?) This world is so new and fun to me :) I must say there are so many new names that I have no idea how to even pronounce, but I'll figure it out.

It's interesting because although the biggest threat would seem to be the Strigoi, there are these little fights inside the academy that at times seem like the biggest issue. (I'm looking at you Mia). Kind of like how Harry Potter's issue is really Voldemort, yet he had issues inside the castle as well (like with Draco).

I'm all about the romance so I really loved the relationships that formed in this book. Not cheesy at all. So cute! When he bought the lipgloss for her though.. so adorable!

I was so shocked by the last few chapters! I love being surprised though :)
Not the biggest fan of the cover.. but it could be worse. Really looking forward to the movie that comes out next year!

I just know that I have to get my hands on Frostbite as soon as possible!
More than likely I'll post a longer discussion video about this.. so more is coming!

I am sooo glad you loved this book, it's one of my ultimate favorites. If you liked this one, you are so going to like the turns and twists that are coming at you in the series! It's truly one of the best series I've read in a long time and it's still not semi-over! I mean Richelle Mead is working on the 5th book of her spin off series Bloodlines! But I suggest you look that up AFTER you've finished Last Sacrifice :) (last book in the series)

also, so excited for the giveaway!!! I reaaally wanna win Cinder dqkjwbfjksagflksd
